Time off....

I have enjoyed my much needed time off. Nope!! I didn't get my Vegas vacay, maybe next time :)

In fact, at the onset of my said "vacation" I was sad. The truth is I needed this time to be spent with my family doing all the things I have long not had to the time to do with them, without being harried and rushed whilst doing them.

I enjoyed taking them to school and not rushing them out of the car because "Mom's going to be late for work!" While Friday progressed with the usual speed it does and after a little housework, taking time to get myself together, a couple of phone calls with my sons {again not rushed} it was time to pick the twins up from school.

We took in a nice afternoon movie, Hugo and snacked until our tummies hurt.

I love my sons and miss time spent with them without distractions. We continued into the weekend just relaxing. We did our best to stay out of the crowded stores and noise of our everyday life.

I cooked and baked. We watched Elf, one of our favorite Christmas movies. Ate dinner together in a relaxing fashion, in which I overheard one of the twins, state he misses us all sitting down together to eat. I miss that as well.
